The Chart Quick-Tools are a suite of scripts for making changes to all open charts in MT4 at once. For example, you can add an indicator to all open charts in MT4, or copy the settings such as colours and zoom-level from one chart onto all other open charts.
The Chart Quick-Tools are a suite of scripts for making changes to all open charts in MT4/5 at once.
All the tools work on the basis that you make a change to one "source" chart, such as adding an indicator, and then use the script to copy that change to all the other charts.
You run a script on the "source" chart in the usual way, by dragging it onto the chart from the Navigator, or by double-clicking on it in the Navigator. You can also assign a hot-key to a script. For example, you can assign a hot-key to the Set Chart Symbol script as a quick way of synchronising all open charts to the same symbol.
Adds an indicator to all charts. You add the indicator to one chart, and then run the script which copies the indicator (including all settings such as colours and parameters) onto all the other charts.
Removes an indicator from all charts.
Copies chart settings such as colours, zoom level, chart-shift etc from one chart onto all other charts.
Applies a chart as a template to all other charts - copying over not only settings such as colours and zoom level, but also all indicators, graphical objects, and any EA which is attached to the chart.
Sets all charts to the same symbol.
Sets all charts to the same timeframe.

The Indicator Quick-Add script copies an indicator from one chart onto all other open charts. In other words, in order to add an indicator to all charts, you do the following:
Add the indicator to one chart, setting the indicator's colours and parameters
Run the script on that chart, which then copies the indicator onto all other charts
When you run the indicator, it displays a menu such as the following:
You then press the key combination for the indicator which you want to copy (or Esc, to cancel). In the above example, pressing Ctrl+Shift+B would copy the SAR indicator onto all the other charts.
In addition to key combinations such as Ctrl+Shift+A and Ctrl+Shift+B for copying individual indicators, there are always two extra key combinations:
Ctrl+Shift+1: copies all indicators from the source chart, adding them to any indicators which already exist on the other charts.
Ctrl+Shift+2: copies all indicators from the source chart, replacing the indicators on the other charts. In other words, all indicators on the other charts are removed, and replaced by the indicator(s) on the source chart.
The Indicator Quick-Remove script removes an indicator from all open charts.
You run the script on any chart which contains the indicator which you want to remove. This displays a menu such as the following:
You then press the key combination for the indicator which you want to copy (or Esc, to cancel). In the above example, pressing Ctrl+Shift+B would remove the SAR indicator from all charts.
In addition to key combinations such as Ctrl+Shift+A and Ctrl+Shift+B for removing individual indicators, there is always one extra key combination:
Ctrl+Shift+9: removes all indicators from all charts.
The Copy Chart Settings script applies settings such as colours and zoom-level to all charts.
You make the changes which you want to one chart, and then run the script on that chart. The script then copies the settings to all the other charts.
The script copies all the options which you can set for a chart by right-clicking over it and choosing Properties (or by pressing F8). For example, it will copy the following settings:
Colours
Chart shift
Chart autoscroll
Candlestick/bar/line style
Gridlines
Etc
This script does not copy indicators or graphical objects. Use the Apply As Template script if you want make all other charts completely identical to a source chart.
The Apply As Template script is equivalent to saving a template from a chart and then manually applying that template to all other charts. In other words, all the following are copied over from the source chart onto all the other charts:
Settings such as colours, zoom level, chart shift etc.
All indicators
All graphical objects
Any EA which is attached to the source chart
The Set Chart Symbol script changes all other charts so that they display the same symbol, e.g. EURUSD, as the source chart on which you run the script.
In other words, to set all open charts to the same symbol, you do the following:
Set one chart to the symbol which you want
Run the script on that source chart. This changes all the other charts to the same symbol.
The Set Chart Timeframe script changes all other charts so that they display the same timeframe, e.g. H1, as the source chart on which you run the script.
In other words, to set all open charts to the same timeframe, you do the following:
Set one chart to the timeframe which you want
Run the script on that source chart. This changes all the other charts to the same timeframe.
